Portable Logging Bridge Program
Vinton SWCD is now offering portable logging bridge rentals through a partnership with the ODNR-Division of Forestry. These temporary bridges allow vehicles to cross streams while minimizing impacts to water quality. We have bridges in both 30-foot and 40-foot lengths. The rental rates for both bridges is $100/week with a 5-week minimum. Each bridge is made up of 3 panels each measuring 4-feet wide. Submission of a Forestry Pollution Prevention Plan (FP3) for the related operation is a requirement for renting. Our District Forester can assist with creating the FP3 if needed.
